Glory, glory, Man Utd? Back on 15th February 2014 I enjoyed arranging and hosting the 20 strong Manchester United squad for Golf in Dubai....
Pre round at Dubai Creek
Yes, they did pay for their golf, by the way.....
David Moyes was 'running the show' at the time and we agreed, in the name of exploring Art, money and football ahead of my Heroes and Villains collection that I could create something a bit special to mark the visit. For a nominal $20 fee - each $1 bill being signed by each of the players so each player, in the name of Art worth $1 each.
The signed $1 bills were presented by the Captain and soon-to-be player manager at the time, Ryan Giggs triggering a bold Artwork exploring football, art and money during disruptive times.....
20 signed $1 bills presented to me by Captain at the time Ryan Giggs.
Since moving on to manage the Welsh National team....
With one of his colleagues, Mr Wayne Rooney, happily getting involved.....
...before following the $ to America, ahead of his tenure as player Manager at Derby County with a well timed 32RED sponsorship deal...
Agreeing to play number 32 as part of the contract......
These Rooney and Giggs signed $1 bills, joining 18 others along with the signed first team shirt, forming the centrepiece of how money revolves around football and indeed, vice-versa....
With one of the most commercially successful sporting brands in the world....
With the initial layout developing into more of a symmetrical collage....
Culminating in the end results of.....
