Collection: California Collection (2018)

'One painting per day for the whole 80 days, Dude' my Californian agent Sean insisted on 5th July 2018 when I arrived on the way to his house in the capital, Sacramento. 

'You're crazy' I replied, my initial reaction but Sean insisted I 'got the balls bouncing' and he helped take my work to places both geographically and emotionally I'd never been!

It was an extra special, bit of a blur time, staying with The Dufose Posse:  Sean, Lori, Dylan, Greggy, Ash and Savvy that helped keep it all in the right context along the way.

I'm both proud and delighted to share the output from the summer of 2018 with the full collection here and a sincere thanks to Colby Barrett for sticking with it and capturing the full collection of works along the way in his studio in Fair Oaks....

Each one with it's own story, each one inspired by the journey along the way.....

With time to reflect on the story so far......

As the collection concluded with painting 80 - Finding my way in California on 22nd September 2018.....

The disparity of 'Have and have nots' bothered me so I gave all my clothes and suitcase away on the last day in the homeless district, downtown Sacramento with a chance meeting with 'downtown James Brown!'

With the Collection here in full, vulnerable glory with a few extra special extras painted for extra special people....
