Collection: New York, YOU York (2015)
Auction time - no pressure then, it's only Lord Archer who insisted I walked out with the painting when it came to the dollarsandart lot!
Sir Ian, UK patron of Dollarsandart has invested more than 30 years and walked more than 12000 miles for charity - hosted a summer party, with pals including singer Eric Clapton, James Anderson, Piers Morgan and Lord Jeffrey Archer.
Dollarsandart were proud to support and host a great table of guests with Artwork 'Red & Green Colourblind($)' raising £4,500 for a great cause. Hats off to Sarah Botham of Sola events for organising such a memorable event with over £120,000 expected to be raised for Beefys foundation! A quality day with great company, weather and banter!
Not one to miss a dollar signing opportunity, Jimbo was fortunate enough to meet a couple of other well known faces all too happy to sign the $1 bill...
Cheers to Piers!
Another cricket legend!
So why does a Red child-like $ sign on a green background reach £4,500 at auction - well it's all about the context of the painting in an room full of exclusive cricket and beefy lovers the bidding was fast and furious - even Shane Warne put his hand up but the winning bid, from a discrete member of Wormsley had a condition that Beefy signed the back of the painting which he was only to happy to do - in addition to the £20 and the $1 bill signed up in York!
What a month July 2015 was - The New York, YOU YORK collection plus Beefy's bash so please enjoy the rest of the collection and here's to them finding the right home at the right time! The artist prefers to personally meet buyers of his original work - nothing personal - it's an energy thing! There's even a Sir Ian Botham Disruptive, honouring him in the collection, capturing the magic of 1981.....

Another 'mind if you sign these, please' from Jimbo!
The lesson in this chapter - Never, ever give up!
