Art exhibitions can be fun and in the main, I believe – should be fun!
Back in April I was looking for someway for attendees of the opening 2015 Dubai $ Project ‘Heroe$ & Villains’, RIRA Gallery DIFC to enjoy the evening in a unique way, whilst connecting with the Dollarsandart, sponsors and most importantly, each other.
Business cards are often (should be if you’re to maximise the time) exchanged with like minded people at opening nights as people introduce and grow their network – a real world version of what happens here online!
Wonderful (often taken for granted) canapés and drinks for event is one thing and the Gold Mercedes S Class outside was another and took the event to the next level BUT I really wanted a ‘hands on’ aspect – that was the challenge!
It’s all about keeping peoples interest in the quick fix modern day challenges of business and busy diaries so added value is required wherever possible, to keep them engaged and interacting.
The fun, ‘hands-on’ dollar related solution
One of the valued partners of the ensured exactly that by offering a 3 Dimensional experience , taking the VIP opening at RIRA gallery, DIFC literally to another dimension….
Making it even more:
- Money Related
Guests were encouraged to literally roll their sleeves up and ‘make money’ in the form of 3doodler pen 2.0 dollar signs next to the world record doodle of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest in the world amongst the 20 original artworks….
…all who attended the event were encouraged to ‘make some $ in DIFC’……by simply ‘pressing and flowing’ using the 3doodler 2.o and immersing themselves in this pure craft, that is rather addictive….
It proved really popular on the night, adding a fun activity to the exhibition and for people to leave with a keepsake that they’d made…
With the team from Precise enthusiastically helping others create their keep-sake and introducing their 3D bee printing solutions….
As the interest increased as the event ran on into the night, with a real ‘Buzz’ about the place…so popular that the Precise team came back to offer free workshops for visitors to the exhibition the following week of the Dollarsandart exhibition….
I was admittedly lucky enough to receive a bit of tuition prior to the opening and found it rather therapeutic….Still with a bit of room for improvement but that’s part of the fun! No mess like with acrylic and oils so a refreshing changes and a fun creative process. The level the team at Precise have got it to is frightening, they’re so skilled, I’ll stick to $ signs for now…
TIM : 3D life like figure
In addition to these hands-on three dimensional collectables amongst the Heroes & villains originals from well known celebrities to everyday members of the community, the team from precise took it one step further on the run up to the exhibition.
I hadn’t anticipated a month earlier, having a personal 3D life like figure of myself on display on the opening night…
Presenting me with my TIM (This Is Me) on the opening night who stayed perched next to the 3Doodler 2.0 Dollars….
They really went the extra mile, arranging me for to be ‘scanned’ during Comicon, a really busy event for them. They in the midst of it all at the Middle East Film & Comic Con 2015, more than 800 people were scanned in their HIVE!
She is always a couple of steps ahead and kindly connected me to the Precise team after a discussion about Ironman….
Crystal engraved keepsakes
Then the icing on the cake : applying their sub surface laser technology to etch dollarsandart logo and limited edition crystals, ensuring that each VIP guest left with a crystal engraved 3D keepsake gorilla logo immersed key chain…
